Watering down and commercializing for a story that wasn't good to begin with, taking every single aspect that made a vampire's life suck and make them tortured and made it a reason why you didn't want to be immortal and turned it into sunshine and daydreams and wetdreams of every little girl in america.Sparkling vampires RULE!
